Richard Furberg

My current work-life focus is on leading and developing teams and organizations. I have many years of experience managing both local and remote teams, with a strong track record in guiding hybrid groups through organizational change and the adoption of new technologies.

In recent years, I have specialized in helping teams embrace AI and modern tooling in their daily work, both as a coach and as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams. My goal is to create a strong, open, and creative culture, and to build environments where people can thrive and deliver great results together.

Outside of my main role, I run projects such as Funkify (a popular web accessibility tool for developers) and Puttis Rackartyg (a second-hand store where I design and build the full product and POS ecosystem). These projects allow me to stay hands-on with product development, from strategy and design to technical implementation.

Leadership for me means staying humble and approachable. I believe in creating workplaces where people feel at home and where work-life balance is sustainable. I am proud of having kept very low employee turnover while still ensuring high quality and delivery.

I started programming in the early 1990s and have extensive experience across both development and leadership. I enjoy staying hands-on with modern tools and am open to roles as a developer as well as in leadership.
